WHO IS A CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE:
Certified nurse aides help patients of all ages perform basic daily tasks. A CNA needs to help lift or move patients in a fast-paced environment. Attention to safety, compassion, communication, and critical-thinking skills are essential because patients depend on your care.

Certified nurse aides are in demand in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospices, hospitals, and long-term care settings.
What Do We Offer:
At Texas Regional Healthcare Training Center, the Certified Nurse Aide Program is a targeted course designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to provide primary care to patients and residents in hospitals and long-term care facilities. The student will learn all the essential skills required to be licensed as a C.N.A. To be approved, students must take the Texas Nurse Aide exam after completing the program.

Schedule:

During the first two weeks of the program, students learn the initial 60 hours virtually.

The final week of the program is conducted in person at the clinical site.
Admission Requirements:

Be at least 16 years of age.
